First Visit

Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. If non-surgical root canal therapy is recommended and agreed upon, typically treatment will be started that day. Completion of your treatment that day will depend on the pre-existing condition of your tooth. Complex teeth, re-treatment of root canals or large infections may require multiple visits. Non-complex teeth can normally be completed in one visit.

If surgical root canal therapy is recommended and agreed upon, typically the first visit will consist of consultation and explanation of your treatment along with consultation with your dentist or physician if needed. The second visit would consist of the surgical treatment followed by a third visit to remove any/all sutures.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your first visit:

  • Your referral slip and any X-rays if applicable.
  • A list of medications you are presently taking.
  • If you have dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

IMPORTANT: All patients under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.
